MAKE ROOM FOR YOUR MOMENTS

How can we help?

VlogMatic starts and pauses video recording when a face or movement matches your chosen rule. It keeps the recorded moments together in one video.

Email vlogmatic-support@ellantech.com for help. Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, app version and the steps that led to the problem. Please do not send private footage unless you want us to receive it.

Start an automatic take

  1. Open VlogMatic and allow camera access.
  2. Choose Face, Motion, Either or Both. Keep the device steady for motion detection.
  3. Tap Start auto take. Activity starts recording; a gap pauses it after the selected delay.
  4. Tap Finish & save take. Open Clips to play or share the saved video.

Recording does not start

Check camera permission in the device's Settings app. In Face mode, keep a well-lit face in the preview. In Motion mode, keep the device stationary and move an object in view. Check that the selected camera and recording format are available; supported formats vary by device.

Recording trial and VlogMatic Pro

The free trial ends after three saved clips longer than one minute. Short clips do not use the allowance. After the trial, a one-time VlogMatic Pro purchase unlocks unlimited recording; there is no subscription. Existing clips remain available to play, share and delete. Deleting videos or restoring recording defaults does not reset the trial.

Use Restore purchase in VlogMatic Settings or on the upgrade screen to restore an Apple purchase with the same Apple Account. Apple may ask you to sign in. A pending payment unlocks Pro only after Apple confirms it. Android and iOS purchases are separate. For Apple billing or refund requests, use Apple's purchase support.

Recordings have no sound

Enable audio using the microphone control and allow microphone access. You can record without this permission, but the video will be silent. Time-lapse recordings have no audio.

Find recordings in Photos

Completed takes stay in Clips. When Automatically save to Photos is enabled, VlogMatic also tries to save a copy to Photos with your permission. If that copy fails, the original remains in Clips; use its menu to try saving again. Deleting the VlogMatic original does not delete a Photos copy.

Recording stops when you leave the app

Keep VlogMatic open while recording. Leaving the app or a camera interruption finishes the current take and saves the captured moments when possible.

Pre-roll and time-lapse

Enable pre-roll in Settings to include up to five seconds before activity is detected. It uses more battery. Time-lapse is configured in recording settings and does not use pre-roll or audio.

Your recordings and privacy

Detection runs on your device. VlogMatic does not upload recordings to EllanTech Limited and requires no account. Read the iPhone and iPad privacy policy for details about storage, Photos, sharing and support enquiries.
